Stacked Glass uses light and broken glass within stackable plastic cups to simulate an urban environment. Forms grow taller as they move toward a central focus accented by an undulating ripple effect in the surface glass. Fragility and instability coexist with the rigid nature of the glass pieces filling and surrounding the awkward stacks of cups. Light plays a key role in highlighting only the most stable elements of the construction while taller parts are left less lit and less assured to remain upright.
