Commuter Series explores the loss of observable detail that occurs when in transit on a commute. With this series, photos were taken using the panoramic function from an iPhone 4s to parallel a commuter’s experience of discerning only splinters of a landscape. The technology of the iPhone suitably mirrors how we are lulled into an unobservant state when traveling, similarly taking in only misaligned fragments. Use of technology during interstitial periods of travel result in spasmodic and discontinuous seeing with regards to the landscape.
